About the Author
Dennis and I have a lot in common. I had an events company and have experienced a bumpy life being an entrepreneur. At least it’s not been boring.
Why The Yellow Sun?
Many people have noticed the sun is a bright white. Yet in culture, literature and paintings, the sun is a golden yellow, and where did all the insects go? The reason behind it is touched on in the book. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

We thought we’d thought of everything.
What is society really? We delve into the idea that society is an artificial idea that is powered by… well power.
At any given moment, on any day, the power may go off, and never come back on again. This is a real world possibility.
We follow ordinary people, getting on with normal lives, who are faced with the extra ordinary situation of a world without power.
We have all seen the usual tropes of people scouring a wasteland, ready to knife fight any stranger that comes within striking distance of their half tin of dog food. But would it be like that?
I don't think so. Humans can be the dumbest and the smartest of animals. But when the tide is set against them, they can also be kind, caring and supportive, even to their own detriment.
Many have heard of the New World, we look at how the Old World gives way to new, and how we are forced back to the most important issue facing mankind today. Our relationship with each other.

7:37 pm on 27th November, the power goes out, without warning, without fanfare. All over the UK, and possibly all over the world.
Information is only trickled down from news reports on Radio 4, they get increasingly disturbing, yet nothing seems to be happening. Where is the response? Where is the government?
Our group friends end up trying to survive in a cow shed in the middle of the English countryside. Fighting fires, riots and the mental stress of the challenges that lie before them.
